Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe scored their first goals for Paris Saint-Germain as they secured a 2-0 victory over Nice in the French top-flight on Sunday.
The Argentine forward and the France international striker were joined by Mauro Icardi, who also found the net, to help PSG bounce back from a disappointing draw at home to Lyon in their previous match.
Messi and Mbappe had both missed the opening goal of the match when Neymar was denied by goalkeeper Maxime Lopez with a deflected shot.
But they responded to the disappointment with two superb goals in the second half.
Mbappe headed home a cross from Angel Di Maria to give PSG the lead before Messi curled in a fine finish from outside the box to double the lead.
It was a well-deserved win for PSG, who have now won three out of four matches under new coach Mauricio Pochettino.
However, it will not be easy going forward without Neymar, who is currently sidelined with a hamstring injury.
Nevertheless, PSG remain one of the favourites to win the league title this season, thanks to their strong squad and the impressive performances of Messi and Mbappe.
The duo have already established themselves as key players for the club, and there is no doubt that they will continue to be a force to be reckoned with in European football in the coming years.
